Cancellation Service & Refund Policy

By using the Fast Pass cancellation-finding service, you agree to the terms and conditions set below, in addition to our General Terms & Conditions.

  1. Notification of Available Tests: We may send notifications for available tests at your chosen test centre(s). However, we cannot guarantee their availability upon your booking attempt.
  2. Confirmation of Changes: After making a booking with us, it is your responsibility to verify the changes with the DVSA before organising any further arrangements related to your driving test. This includes, but is not limited to, 1. Driving instructor fees relating to the test, 2. Transport arrangements to the test centre, 3. Any accommodation you may book for the purposes of taking the test.
  3. DVSA Actions: We are not responsible for changes or cancellations made by the DVSA. It is your responsibility, after we provide you with a cancellation, to remain informed of any further modifications to your booking that are not in our control.

Refund Policy

You may be eligible for a refund once the booking you made with us has been cancelled with the DVSA. Refunds consist of two parts:

  1. DVSA Booking Fee
  2. Our Service Fee

1. DVSA Booking Fee

If we paid any part of the DVSA test fee on your behalf, we will refund you the same amount the DVSA has refunded us. Under most circumstances, you will be eligible for a refund from the DVSA if you cancel at least ten working days before your test.

You must contact us to claim any refund, as we are not notified by the DVSA when a booking is cancelled or refunded.

For example:

  • If we paid the full £62 DVSA fee for a test you later cancel, and the DVSA refunds us £62, we will refund £62 to you also.
  • If you booked your own test and we only swapped it for you, once cancelled, the DVSA will refund you directly.
  • If you initially booked the test and paid £62 yourself, but we swapped it to a weekend slot and paid a £13 surcharge, we will refund only the £13, given the DVSA refunds it to us. You would receive the £62 refund directly from the DVSA.

2. Our Service Fee

We offer a 72-hour grace period entirely at our own expense, to give you flexibility in case of scheduling conflicts or changes in plans discovered shortly after booking. For any cancellations within our grace period terms, we will refund our service fee as well as any eligible DVSA fees, minus £25 to cover our costs.

You will be eligible for a partial refund of our service fee if ALL the conditions below are met:

  1. You cancel your booking before the DVSA cancellation deadline,
  2. You cancel your booking within 72 hours of booking through us,
  3. You notify us in writing before both of these deadlines.

Email us at [email protected] with your licence and booking reference, letting us know you've cancelled your booking.

For example:

  1. You cancel your booking for next month within 72 hours of booking - You'll get back everything you paid (including the DVSA booking fee) minus an admin fee of £25.
  2. You cancel your booking for next month after 72 hours of booking - You'll only get back the DVSA booking fee.
  3. You cancel your booking on time but forget to notify us within 72 hours of booking - You'll only get back the DVSA booking fee.
  4. You cancel your booking after the DVSA cancellation deadline - You won't get a refund from us nor the DVSA.

Auto-Booking

We offer an optional automatic booking feature, which gives you the choice to have your driving test booked automatically by us, on your behalf. By activating this feature, you agree to the additional terms set below.

  1. Opt Out: You can opt out or pause the auto-booking feature at any time. By doing this, you will continue to be notified about test dates, and you will have to reserve them manually.
  2. Card Authorisation: To enable auto-booking, you must provide valid payment details. This is so we can make the payment for your booking automatically. We cannot access your card details, as they are handled by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By providing your card details, you authorise us to charge your card the relevant fees related to booking your driving test. The total cost will be given to you up front for you to approve, and we will not charge any more than the approved amount.
  3. Search Preferences: It is your responsibility to ensure your search preferences are accurate and up-to-date. We cannot be liable for the booking of any unwanted test dates where you have supplied incorrect or outdated test preferences. Unless there was a technical fault on our end, which led to a test being booked that did not match your preferences, then our refund policy still stands.
